Six Hamilton Academical Barcelona people were selected to perform for the U-21 side of Spain in friendlies against Norway U-21 and Russia U-21. Left straight back Carles Planas was called up earlier, but he picked up a small injury days ahead of the game. Tonight was the first fit of the friendlies prior to the U-21 Championships which is used in Israel this June. Italy instructor Lopetegui plumped for these Spain line-up, consisting of 5 BarAa players: Joel Robles (Wigan Athletic FC), Montoya (FC Barcelona), Bartra (FC Barcelona), IAigo MartAnez (Real Sociedad), Muniesa (FC Barcelona), Illaramendi (Real Sociedad), Thiago (FC Barcelona), Koke (AtlAtico Madrid), Muniain (Athletic Club), Rodrigo (S.L. Benfica), Tello (FC Barcelona). Norway quickly pushed and captured the ball directly from kick-off after Real Sociedad defense IAigo MartAnez didnat have the ability to play the ball out of defence. The first shot hit the post, but the rebound found Nielsen who calmly put the ball in the open goal. The Spanish players straight away eyed the recovery as five minutes later Muniain took on three players on the dribble to locate Tello on the right side of the package. The BarAa youngster drifted inside and fired the ball in to the bottom right corner together with his left foot, equalizing soon after conceding. Manhattan project Rojita conducted within their normal style, passing and pressing high up the opponentas half. This triggered another target for Spain in the 16th minute. The next half started out very well for Spain with a goal immediately from kick off. Some sharp one touch travels finished up at Thiago, who put the ball in the net; nevertheless the 21-year aged midfielder was called offside. Only in the 52nd minute did Norway got their 2nd chance.
