Leading League - Redknapp admits 'poor' QPR handed it to Fulham - Yahoo! Eurosport UK

Christopher Samba fouled Ashkan Dejagah to agree an early on penalty, that was changed by Dimitar Berbatov, before being caught in possession to permit the striker to include his second. A Clint Hill own goal saw QPR fall 3-0 down before a goal was pulled by Adel Taarabt straight back, and Loic Remy netted an additional after he'd seen a charge saved by Mark Schwarzer. "We began sloppy," Redknapp said. "We offered an early target away and suddenly you're on the rear foot, you can't give targets away that way and win football matches. These were the worst three goals you could ever wish to see provided away." Redknapp felt the game was there for the taking, particularly after Fulham midfielder Steven Sidwell was sent off for difficult on Armand Traore, but the former Tottenham chef was left bemoaning the bad opening to the fit. He added: "They didn't have to work for their goals, the charge we got caught in possession, then we lost the ball and then with the own target - you can not have seen three worse goals. "We did well to come back from there and in the second half we deserved to obtain something out of the overall game - we battered them second half. At 3-2 I really could see just one winner." Samba, who joined from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala for a club-record fee to much excitement in the January exchange screen, had an evening and Redknapp said it was not really a performance you would normally associate with the former Blackburn defense. Samba pressed up late on in the search for a remarkable equaliser, much to the chagrin of his manager. "It isn't like him, he is usually a really confident guy," Redknapp said. "He got caught with the ball and it cost us dearly. We're killing them with 11 and If they had 10 men you've surely got to play. "I do not wish to begin lumping it in to the box to Samba, (Bobby) Zamora or Remy. You have surely got to use and enjoy that extra man. We had been developing three to four possibilities every 10 minutes and with 10 men we'd have created a lot more chances."
