Gareth Bale will return for Tottenham on Sunday and Andre Villas-Boas claims Manchester City will be fearful of his presence.
The Spurs chief is delighted with the Welsh star's rapid recovery from a twisted ankle he suffered during the Europa League tie against FC Basel on April 4 and he is set to start against the reigning Premier League champions at White Hart Lane. Villas-Boas' men are locked in a battle with London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal for two Champions League qualification places and the Portuguese tactician believes Bale's comeback can boost their chances of finishing in the Premier League's top four. "There can be a fear factor if he plays," Villas-Boas said of Bale. "We recognise the impact this player has had for us this season. His run of goals that he is on, he can have a big factor. "It's good to have him around in this final part of the season. He can be an inspiration to everybody. When you look at the images that we saw [of his twisted ankle], it is good to have him back so quickly. This speaks highly of the medical staff at the club. Our squad is full of good players, but Bale can make a difference." Arsenal could be five points clear of Spurs with a win at Fulham on Saturday, albeit having played two games more, and Chelsea are currently three points ahead of them so a win could be vital against Roberto Mancini's Citizens.
