Indians move to beat Mariners 10-8.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Yan Gomes reached a three-run homer within the 10th inning and that Cleveland Indians, twice revived by Seattle's fielding problems, beat the Mariners 10-8 on Monday to carry out a four-game sweep.

Gomes, who also homered in the second, drove a 3-2 pitch from Charlie Furbush (0-3) over the wall in left, getting the Indians their 5th straight win, third walk-off over the Mariners in four days and most improbable victory of what exactly is becoming a special period.

As Gomes reached that plate, he was mobbed by teammates following on from the comeback that became needed after Cleveland's bullpen threw in the towel homers in the 8th, ninth and 10th innings.

It was the Indians' first four-game brush of Seattle since 1981, and also the rally gave Cleveland a 18th win in twenty-two games.

Ryan Raburn arrive at a three-run homer to get Cleveland, which opened a some 1-2 game lead over Detroit in the AL Central.

The Mariners got some tying homer by Kyle Seager inside eighth and a go-ahead photo by pinch-hitter Endy Chavez with the ninth but couldn't close it out because of the own miscues.

The Indians were an out off losing in the ninth when Seattle closer He Wilhelmsen dropped an questionable toss while covering primary, allowing the Indians to help you tie it 7-7.

After Smoak homered with the 10th, the Indians were three outs away from losing when the Mariners made it easier for them again.

Michael Brantley singled and Drew Stubbs followed using a bunt that Furbush, looking for his first career spend less, fielded but bobbled. The left-hander rushed her throw to first and would have had Stubbs — umpire Harry Timmons called him out — but Smoak dropped the ball.

The final three innings bordered on the absurd as the Mariners took the lead to give it away using their bone-headed plays.

Wilhelmsen's error inside ninth not only cost the Mariners an unusual win, but it allowed Cleveland closer Chris Perez to flee a loss after he lost the battle the homer to Chavez with the ninth. It was some other bad outing for Perez, who gave up back-to-back homers in your ninth on Saturday but wound up getting a win.

With Seattle trailing 6-5 in the eighth, Seager homered from Vinnie Pestano, who recently came journey disabled list, into your Mariners' bullpen for her fifth homer.

Seattle starter Hisashi Iwakuma was tagged through the Indians for five carries on in four innings, even so the right-hander settled in and retired a final seven hitters he suffered and got a no-decision. He lost the battle seven hits and arranged out six in half a dozen innings.

Indians starter Scott Kazmir didn't be free from the fourth as that teams combined for 10 carries on and 14 hits through four innings ahead of game slowed to some crawl.

Raburn and Gomes reached back-to-back, two-out homers inside second, when the Indians caught a possibility to take a 4-2 steer.

With Carlos Santana on by having a one-out double, Mark Reynolds simply missed a homer, flying out for the track in left. Brantley walked and Raburn lost control into an 0-2 hole and gave the impression to take strike three, but plate umpire Laz Diaz termed Iwakuma's pitch a ball to provide Raburn new life.

He made just about the most of it, connecting for his fifth homer to help make it 3-2. Gomes followed with a shot onto the pedestrian hall in left.

The Mariners scored two in the third to tie this, with Morales hitting a RBI single and Kyle Seager reviewing Michael Morse grounded into a double play.

Seattle, which entered the game play just 1 of 12 with runners in scoring position inside series, made the most of their total first two chances together with took a 2-0 lead within the first — their first among the list of four-game series — on an RBI double by Kendrys Morales in addition to Morse's run-scoring single.
